Woody River Trophy Hunts offers a limited number of fall black bear hunts every season in and along the Porcupine Provincial Forest, which covers the North side of the prestigious Swan River Valley. The Swan River Valley has long been known as having some of the best black bear hunting in the world! This huge expansion of timber, lakes, rivers and farmland gives the bears plenty of cover and an abundance of food to reach their genetic potential.

We take a high percentage of bears each year that weigh over 400 pounds and are over six feet in length. Our areas along the Woody River and other northern river systems provide us with a high yield of color phase bears. These areas consistently produce chocolate and cinnamon bears with an occasional blonde.
