Woody River Trophy hunts was born out of a strong desire to try and perfect the ultimate whitetail hunting experience. We are constantly working on improving our whitetail genetics as well as the quality of the hunt. Our Wilderness Preserve was built in the river bottoms of the magnificent Woody River, which wanders its way through the mighty Porcupine Provincial Forest. The terrain is very rugged and consists of quiet meadows, steep ridges, old river bottoms, and a few quiet creeks that meander through. It also has a large variety of timber that consists of the white and black poplar, hardy diamond willows, thick hazelnut bushes, and the majestic spruce trees with their dark green splendor all season long. This abundant supply of foliage, with its dark stain, allows mahogany antlers, giving them extra beauty and elegance, along with their enormous powerful bodies that sometimes reach 400 pounds.
